It’s Just A Show!!!

Less than a week ago, the results were in and the American Idol was announced. Kris Allen had taken the title of “American Idol” and in a week’s worth of media…all the media could say is “Adam Lambert was robbed or American Idol Upset.”

Firstly, only American Idol’s producers could be blamed on how the media has taken this anti-Kris Allen campaign. The judges *cough*Simon*cough*Cowell*cough* pushed that Adam Lambert WILL win idol. An implant to the psyche of the people was the obvious effect. Had they not pushed favorites, the media wouldn’t follow up on it. And all media could talk about is Adam and his gayness, flamboyance and etc. Adam was just too interesting a topic to put down, and it’s thanks to the pimping of Adam.

Secondly, the AT&T issue is so small if you think about it. How in the world could the show be rigged in favor of Kris Allen? The producers were disappointed in the results as shown in the backstage video when Kris won. They wanted Adam to win. They always gave him the biggest centerpiece of attention. He got the pimp spot three times in a row and I bet you if it weren’t for the obligatory coin toss (which even the producers questioned with Ryan), Adam would have gotten the pimp spot yet again for the finale.

And the issue is in voting parties at Arkansas. How many people live in Arkansas? Less than 3 million. That’s a small fraction of the population of the United States. Even if AT&T helped, the effect would be just small. And take note, AT&T was INVITED. They didn’t go there because they wanted to. Adam Lambert fans could have easily invited AT&T to go to the watch parties too. And how many people go to a watch party? A small group as compared to the population of the whole country. Isn’t it stupid to call it rigged when it’s a microcosm of a big macrocosm.

Third, what is with the sabotaging of KrisAllenation.com? The site did have an operation to teach people how to vote via Gizmo and power texting. This was used seasons before, why is it an issue now? I knew David Cook fans who used Gizmo to help Cook win. It’s not a new thing. How should it be called cheating when the Idol rules allows VOIP programs to vote? And to be totally fair, even Adam-Lambert.org also used this strategy. Why is all the backlash thrown at KrisAllenation.com? Just because Kris won?

In the end, the ones at fault are FremantleMedia AND the Glambert voters. Kris fans were already dedicated to vote the full hours. But how about the Glamberts? Were they ready to vote for that long? The results lie in votes. The information on how to powervote was open to both parties (Kris fans and Glamberts) so what’s wrong if KAnation used it? Maybe if the Glamberts voted more, Adam could have won.

And what’s with the disrespect towards Kris. Can’t he just win and get it over with? American Idol is just a show people. “American Idol 2009” is just a title. It’s not his fault he won. Stop obsessing.

This may be totally idealistic but can’t people follow the good example of Kris and Adam’s friendship. They totally didn’t care who would win. In my own standpoint, I did want Kris to win but it didn’t really matter who won. I would actually be really happy if Adam won. It’s just a show afterall. What’s important is I watched the best finale I could ever watch. Didn’t you see the amazing duets? The great group performances? Bikini Girl VS Kara? Why can’t people talk about that instead of Adam being robbed. And besides, they’re apples and oranges. It just turned out more people paid more for apples instead of oranges.

FINAL MESSAGE: GET OVER IT BITTERBERTS! IT’S JUST A SHOW!!! YOU DON’T HAVE TO KILL YOURSELVES FOR IT! ADAM and KRIS ARE NOT CARING WHO WON, WHY SHOULD YOU?

  1. I TOTALLY AGREE.

    SUCK THE JUDGES.

KRIS WON. STOP THE SICKO’S THEORIES.

  2. You are absolutely right!!! Everybody had the same opportunities to vote. I’m from Chile and KrisAlleNation tought me how to vote. If I were an Adam fan I would’ve done the same thing.
Stop attacking Kris; he’s incredibly talented, and amazing singer and musician. And as you just said… “it’s just a show”!!! Move on!!!
